| When CWI is carried out,
a 25 year guarantee is issued to the homeowner by the Cavity Insulation
Guarantee Agency. Installing companies are registered with CIGA, which was
set up by all sectors of the industry, in conjunction with the Government.
The public can have every confidence in the system, knowing that there is
strong industry backing for the product and the service. |
The various CWI systems
and the installing companies have to be approved by the British Board of
Agrément (BBA) or the British Standards Institution (BSI). The BBA is
responsible for the technical surveillance scheme that monitors this
process on behalf of the industry. Technicians employed by the installing
companies are trained and approved by the systems suppliers and also have
to be registered with the BBA. |
